Melon mambo snowflakes...

Here is an alternative Christmas card using the serene snowflake stamp set.
I have used a white square card blank and randomly stamped snowflakes all over. I cut my mat using a nestability, a scallop octagon on this occasion, I stamped my chosen snowflake and cut it into an octagon slightly smaller than the mat, I also stamped another layer and cut out part of the snowflake and layered this at an angle with foam squares. My greeting is from the sparkly and bright stamp set, cut out with a scallop oval punch and layered onto an oval. I added a strip of coordinating ribbon across the centre, near the bottom edge of the card.

Ingredients:
Stamps used; Serene snowflakes, Sparkly and bright.
Inks; melon mambo, rich razzleberry.
Punches/dies; scallop octagon and octagon nestabilities, su scallop oval and oval punches.
Ribbon; melon mambo spotted
Card; whisper white, melon mambo

Christmas mini gift bags

I made these Christmas mini gift bags as a small token of thanks to my wonderful ladies who support me with my Stampin' Up! projects and workshops throughout the year. As our Christmas workshops are including the Serene snowflake stamp set I felt it was perfect for these too.
Each bag was made using bordering blue as the base colour stamped with the different sized snowflakes in a combination of night of navy, white craft, and brocade blue inks. I used night of navy and whisper white for the borders and cut them with the eyelet punch. I stamped a snowflake onto whisper white and cut out with 1 3/8 circle punch, I layered this onto a bordering blue scallop circle cut using the punch and added white dots to the scallops with a white uni-ball gel pen, I also added a gem to the centre of the snowflake and finally added silver shimmery ribbon to the top. Each mini pouch had a mix of sweets inside.
Until next time, happy crafting and thank you for stopping by Dawn x

Serene snowflakes!

Here are the last couple of make and takes from today, the left photo belongs to Val and the right are Sue's.

The card on the right is a small square, using night of navy as the card blank, bordering blue for the mat and confetti white was used to stamp on, using night of navy ink. The base was stamped using craft white ink. The focal snowflake was stamped twice and decoupaged, with the option of twisting it rather than lining it up directly covering the image below, I really like the effect and think it changes the look of the stamp altogether. I hope you have enjoyed seeing our lovely creations, thank you for browsing. Until next time happy crafting Dawn x

Serene snowflakes!

The make and takes in the left photo belong to Sharon and the right are Helen's.

The card on the left is a fold back card in an A6 landscape format, we have used bordering blue as the card base and mat, edged with craft white ink and stamped onto confetti white card using the Serene snowflake stamp set and night of navy ink, there was an option of drawing in the strings using a sakura gelly roll stardust pen. The base card was also stamped with craft white ink and snowflakes. A shimmery ribbon was tied in a simple bow on the left hand side. Dawn x

Serene snowflakes!

The make and takes in the left photo belong to Marie and the ones in the right photo are Sylvia's.

The card in the centre is using rich razzleberry as the card blank and melon mambo for the mat, the snowflakes are stamped in matching inks as well as soft suede onto whisper white, we then had a choice of ribbon for the side, either rich razzleberry or melon mambo. A bright and cheerful colour combo, not your usual snowflake colours, maybe, but I love it!

Serene snowflakes!

Fingers crossed that I get the correct name with the correct photo, I'm trying my best...

The make and takes in the left photo were made by Adrienne, while the right photo was Michaela.
We made three cards all using the Serene snowflake stamp set, I love this set.

I had a giggle...

Hi! Well when I saw this stamp set I had to smile to myself as I guess this stamp describes me perfectly, my love of chocolate and not being a quitter! I made this card with no-one particular in mind, I promise... I used regal rose card as my base (square again, I know, sorry) and layered a piece of double sided coordinating paper on the top, with a strip of the same paper across the centre to break it up slightly, I used the same paper to make the oval mount, its the reverse side of the paper and then stamped my image onto stampin' up! whisper white card (I love this card for stamping on, its so smooth, perfect) I coloured my image with pro markers. I made the small roses using a die cut and added a leaf cut using the 2 step bird punch (this punch is great) all I need now is someone who wont be offended by the caption to give it to.
If anyone has a wish list for the mini catalogue don't forget to order soon as you only have till the end of September to get your orders in, then its gone! Also with the new catalogue coming out on 1st October some items are retiring, please contact me if you want something in particular before its gone! (07779071588)
Until next time, thanks for looking and happy crafting Dawn x
