Christmas workshop 2

I have been a busy person this week, as well as working, Wednesday was my second Christmas workshop, we made the same cards as last Saturday so I didn't take photo's of them, thank you ladies, it was an enjoyable evening.

Thursday evening was my craft sale, where I had sooo many things to say goodbye to there wasn't enough room on the table, everything was stacked up, sorry ladies, I will have to re-think how I do that in the future, but, the good news is that you had some great bargains. I still have lots more to sell to make space for my ever growing wish list from the new Stampin' Up! catalogue which launches on 1st October.

If you would like to join me for my Stampin' Up! launch party on Saturday 15th October 10am, please contact me for more details, I have an amazing prize lined up for the raffle! Tickets are only £3 this includes your raffle ticket, hot drinks and homemade cupcakes, mmm yum! This will be held in Taunton, Somerset, the good news if you're not available on the day, is that you can still have a raffle ticket and get in with a chance of winning the prize. New catalogues available on the day, special offers from me and a chance to see some of the new products, I can't wait.

Anyway that's all for now, until next time Happy Crafting Dawn x

Good morning, well today is my 100th post for this year and firstly I want to say I'm thinking of all the families affected by the 9/11 disaster 10 years ago, watching all the footage on the television brings it all back, no doubt its always on their minds.

I'm going to show you photo's of one of my Christmas workshops. This took place yesterday,
here we are crafting away...

Sshh! Christmas is coming!

I said that I was working on something for Christmas and well, here it is...

my Christmas wreath, made with cherry cobbler poinsettia, die cut leaves in various colours and stamped leaves using a stamp from my autumn splendor stamp set (and yes I hand cut every single leaf myself).
Here is a closer look....

and a really close look at the poinsettia...

I started with a 12 x 12 piece of thick card, I used the packaging from my dsp stack and cut a large circle, I then cut a smaller circle from the centre to leave me with a ring doughnut effect, I coloured this with black ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder and added glitter to show little peeps of sparkle!

Using my little leaves die from Stampin' Up! I cut out several leaves in different colours, chocolate chip, crumb cake, soft suede, always artichoke and certainly celery.

I stamped my leaf from the autumn splendor stamp set on to daffodil delight, old olive and tempting turquoise designer series paper and hand cut them out, approx. 60 in total.

I cut my poinsettia using the build a blossom punch, from cherry cobbler card, each flower had 10 medium size petals and 10 small petals. I cut a small circle and stuck on five medium petals, then stuck the other five in between the first layer, I then added five of the smaller petals spaced evenly and added the final five petals to the top again spaced between the layer below. I added chunky glass glitter to the centres.

I then assembled my die cuts, hand cut leaves and finally my poinsettia's on the top in an evenly spaced way. I'm really pleased with the final project and think it will look lovely fixed to my door at Christmas!
Please leave me a comment if you like it too.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow as its my Christmas crafting event, I hope to take some photo's and post them soon. Thank you for visiting me, until next time, Happy crafting Dawn x
