Ink with a twist

On Wednesday evening and Saturday afternoon, we had a workshop called "Ink with a twist"

Here are the products each person got to take away with them;

3 ink refils (a choice of colours)

The beautiful butterfly stamp called All a flutter

A small piece of felt and

a variety of pieces of card some smooth, some glossy.

We used the felt to make our own ink pad. Firstly stamping the butterfly using stazon on to the felt and then adding drops of ink from the bottles to fill in the whole butterfly. We then inked the butterfly carefully from the felt and then stamped on to our card, making wonderful unique butterflies and everyone's was so different, here are a couple of examples....

....we also used the ink in spritzer bottles for backgrounds and using a Tim Holtz handle and felts put drops of ink on and made beautiful backgrounds with them too....and finally finishing with using our inks as a water paint with a brush. I had a lovely time and I hope all my ladies did too. Thank you everyone for attending. I have a couple of photos of us crafting I will try and pop them on later.

Funny dog...

I took these photos the other day and they made me smile, I hope they make you smile too.

Our dogs don't usually take long to eat their food, in fact I think it would be fair to say they bounce around getting really excited when I'm getting it ready and then go completely mad when I open the door, followed by eating everything in about 30 seconds flat (just in case I were to do something odd like change my mind and take it away, its never happened before but, you never know) Well this time was different...we decided to try to cook salmon on the barbecue and got an amazing deal on a whole one (never done that before) my husband bravely filleted it, his first attempt and I felt it was only fair the dogs could have the head, bones etc. well you would of thought I had given them something...actually I don't know what. I have never seen them behave like this, it took a lot of sniffing and licking and about 20 minutes of chewing, more licking and sniffing to finish.

Summer workshop

Last Saturday afternoon and Wednesday evening it was time to craft for the summer.

Here are the two projects we made, both with a summer theme.

A mini carton, with flag pole...

                        And the most enormous ice cream I have seen, as an easel card.
