Sympathy...

I love card making but when it comes to sympathy cards I struggle. It was after talking to a group of ladies at a workshop and one of them pointed out how she thought it was a special thing to show someone that you care and have put in the extra effort to make a card that I started thinking maybe I should try. It was not very long after that decision that I needed a sympathy card and so made my first one, (I have looked but I don't think I took a photo of that card).
Again recently I needed two sympathy cards, for different families.
This is what I came up with, a very simple no fuss card, I hope they show I care and I'm thinking of them. I wasn't going to take a photo and then I thought that I should, and if others do, then we can take suggestions from each others designs, rather than like me struggle on my own. Dawn x

Motorcycle stamp

Here are two motorcycle cards made at my Wednesday evening workshop.

Again they used the same items but the cards look quite different, thank you ladies for sharing your cards with us.

Pirates

Here are two pirates that I managed to capture after my Wednesday evening workshop with a male theme. I like how they are so different and yet used the same stamp set and prepared items, just in different combinations.

Thank you Louise and Louise for sharing your cards.

Punch art

Here is a very simple punch art card, with a young and fresh colour palette.

I used pear pazzazz as my card base, and layered whisper white on top. I then punched 3/4 inch circles out in bashful blue, real red, pear pazzazz and pacific point and arranged them in a random pattern until I was happy, then stuck them down. The greeting is from my party on stamp set, stamped in real red onto whisper white, punched with my oval punch and layered on to a real red curly label punch. Simple and I think very effective.

I hope you like it too, thanks for visiting, Happy crafting Dawn x

Butterfly wings

Here is a quick gift/card I made using the new butterfly wings embosslet, this cuts and embosses several sized butterflies all at the same time and they are gorgeous.
I love the bright colour palette and this shows that really well.

I used Stampin' Up! textured 12x12 card stock to make this little chocolate wrap and gift box. The butterflies on the wrap were stuck down so they wont catch when sliding in and out of the box (or in my case out and staying out, as I can't resist chocolate!) The pink butterfly on the box was fixed down the body only, and the wings lifted, I added the new glass glitter to the body for that extra sparkle and wow.

Thanks for visiting, until next time Happy crafting Dawn x

House mouse

I was asked to make a birthday card for someone and this is what I came up with. I adore House mouse and this was made using a decoupage sheet and the interactive cd for inserts and backing papers. These mice are sooo gorgeous!

Here is a close up of the mice.
How cute, the little mouse is being cleaned with a tooth brush!

Male theme workshop

Arghhh! Well after all those pirates, I forgot to take photos until the last minute when everyone was almost leaving so I apologise for this photo, not my best effort. We had a great time and everyone of us did a technique out of our comfort zone and I think we were all really pleased with the effects (some people are just to polite to complain!!!) It was a lovely afternoon, Thank you ladies, I always enjoy our workshops together!
Thanks for visiting, Happy crafting, Dawn x

Sneak peak...

Here is a sneak peek at one of the designs we will be making this afternoon at craft club. I like this stamp set and what with the new Pirates of the Caribbean film coming out it will be very "in" I hope to remember to take a few pics of us crafting, if I do I will post them soon.
The theme for this afternoon's crafting is men, as so many people find these cards more difficult.
Thanks for visiting, come back soon.
Please feel free to leave me a comment, it tells me people are visiting Dawn x
