Autumn Splendor

Here is my third male card.
Firstly, a huge apology for the awful photo. The theme for this card was leaves and trees. I started with a soft suede base and using versamark ink stamped leaves from my autumn splendor set all over, I then added mica powders in golds and greens. I stamped two trees from Lovely as a tree set on to whisper white card (I love this card!) using chocolate chip ink and then die cut with a leaf shape nestie, I added pieces of chocolate chip grossgrain ribbon to form the trunks. I stamped leaves using stazon on to acetate and cut them out, I stuck them on with glue gel, unfortunately you can see this in my poor photo, I added the trees using foam pads.
I hope you like the effect, Thank you for visiting Dawn x

Beware Pirates!

Here is my second card with a male theme.
I used crumb cake card for the base, I stamped the ship from Beware Pirates along the bottom edge with crumb cake ink, so it looks like a water mark and the words "Beware Pirates" across the top. I stamped the ship onto very vanilla card using chocolate chip ink and tore it in to a "square", I inked the edges and then in towards the middle. I placed the ship approximately where I wanted it, made a pencil mark and then removed it while I stamped the speckles (a very versatile stamp from my Bird on a branch set) using real red ink, first in a square shape near the centre and then randomly over the front of the card. I then stuck my panel on with foam pads. I tied some twine across the corner to finish. I was pleased with the results, I hope you like it too. Dawn x

Beware Pirates!

I'm on a mission to make more cards for men and here is my first I have to show you, the others are coming soon.

Here I used sahara sand as my base card (yes its another square card!) I used the Stampin' Up! spritzer tool to help achieve the background colour along with a stamp from my Bird on a branch stamp set, using Early espresso ink for both. I cut two thin strips of card as an accent and stuck them down the left hand side of the card blank. I stamped the skull image in Early espresso and Real red ink onto vanilla card, I punched the red skull with a circle punch and layered it onto the espresso image, with foam pads, after I had torn around the edges (I was way out of my comfort zone for this, tearing I mean) I tied some twine across one of the corners as an accent and added the "greeting" on the bottom edge with red ink. I added a plain insert to finish the card. I hope you like it, please feel free to leave a comment.

Fast & fabulous

Here are two cards I made using my fast and fabulous stamp set, this stamp set is a hostess set, you earn it for free with a workshop of £300 in sales.
I used rich razzleberry and whisper white as my colour combo. Below I tried a ribbon technique I had seen, I'm not sure I have quite "got" it yet.
Two quite simple cards, I like them, I hope you do too. Please leave me a comment, any help or advice with ribbon techniques would be greatly received. Until next time Happy crafting Dawn x

Cheeky mouse

I adore house mouse and when I saw this stamp I knew I had to have it. Coloured with promarkers, a simple mat and layer, a couple of hand made flowers and punched leaves and it was complete. I know easel cards have been around for ages but this was my first attempt and I was happy with it, I hope you like it too.

Growing Green

Last Thursday was a lovely ladies birthday, Sandra, and this was the card I made for her.
I used daffodil delight card for my base and stamped using whisper white craft ink around the edges (it doesn't really show in this photo, its very subtle) I then stamped onto a mat of very vanilla also using a stamp from my growing green set, adding an icon from my tiny tags set. I heat embossed the greeting onto vellum and attached using brads. I made an insert and stamped with matching ink for a clean and simple card. I hope you like it. Happy crafting Dawn x
