Busy, busy, busy!

Hi, well school holidays have started and things have gone from busy at work to busy at home, I'm looking forward to having a few days off, resting and generally spending time with my very precious family.

Thank you to the wonderful group of ladies who came to my house last night for a journal workshop, we had sooo many crafting things on the table I could almost hear the table groaning under the pressure. It was lovely to see a couple of new faces, as well as familiar ones, and how you make such wonderful creations so differently from each other using the same items, unfortunately with all the excitement I forgot to take pictures but, can I say everyone was laughing and joking all evening so a good time was had by all!

Thank you for passing by, until next time, Happy crafting Dawn x

Birdie House!!

Hi everyone, I have been busy crafting..... and here is a sneaky peek at one of my 3D projects, I'm really pleased with how it has turned out, this is a sample that I will be using for the lucky ladies who have booked on my "Bird House" workshop on 21st August, which is now full.
The papers are from the sweet pea paper stack (I love those papers), I have used chocolate chip card which I punched with the eyelet border punch for the roof edge, the two step bird punch was used for the leaves and bird. I used a flower head die from little claire designs (I love this flower!) each petal is cut separately, I shaped each petal, inked it before sticking with pinflair glue. I have hinged the roof and stuck it with a glue dot so that it still opens, I hope you like it.
I have received a lot of interest in my kraft club and am in the process of sorting dates for the next few months, details will follow soon, watch this space. Thanks for looking, happy crafting Dawn x

Chain maille

Hi, Firstly I would like to say Thank you to a small group of ladies for coming to my workshop today, we were using the sweet treat cups from Stampin' Up!'s mini catalogue, I hope you enjoyed your makes!! Unfortunately I didn't take any photos, sorry.

I have fallen for the jewellery made with "jump rings" chain maille, I think its great and so very versatile, just by changing the colours of the rings or the sizes, you get a completely different look. Here is a very simple flower that I made following a pattern from creative beads and jewellery magazine, I think it was issue 2, they had it on a chain but I thought it looked better on a leather thong, it uses two sizes of jump rings and the flower is quite rigid when you hold it. Thanks for looking, keep crafting Dawn x

Closer look part 2...

Hi, Here is a closer look, as promised, at one of the other bags I made using the template from Becky Roberts. I used taken with teal card for the base and paper from the sweet pea paper stack (these papers are gorgeous), available for a short time in the mini catalogue from Stampin' Up! The ribbon I used is also from Stampin' Up! but is no longer available, I made a tag using my oval all stamp set and oval punches. The notelets are taken with teal card, sweet pea ds paper and whisper white card, ribbon as before and then I added a button from the designer button pack called playground, I used a thank you stamp from my simply said stamp set to finish off this cute gift set. I hope you like it, until next time, happy crafting Dawn x

A closer look...

Hi, yesterday I put on a photo of three ultra cute bags that I have made using a template from the wonderful Becky Roberts, well, today I'm showing you one of them a little closer...
I'm not usually a pink girl but I love how this bag has turned out, I made a slight adjustment to the depth of the bag so that it would hold one of my handmade soaps and I love it, I hope you do too.
I used pink passion card and designer series paper from the sunny day simply scrappin' kit, I also used melon mambo polka dot grosgrain ribbon for the handles and attached a tag with a key chain. I made a single notelet for this bag as its a gift with the soap. Super cute...I think. Thanks for looking, Dawn x

Oh so cute gift bag!

Happy 4th July to anyone out there who is celebrating.

I have been very busy since my last post, so I apologise now for not updating sooner. Firstly last week was my son's 9th birthday well, doesn't time fly, and as you can imagine we were busy with swimming, a barbecue (which fortunately we had fab weather for), and knee deep in wrapping paper, presents and cards, it was lovely!

I have also been busy crafting, making oh so cute little bags and matching cards, (the template came from the amazing Becky Roberts via her blog at inkingidaho.blogspot.com her site is well worth a browse but, warning you can easily loose an hour or two looking around her wonderful creations, so thank you Becky for another wonderful template, I love it!) The photo is a group of three bags that I have made, I hope to show you closer over the next couple of days or so.

Well, I have also been busy organising myself to start a kraft club, with my Stampin' Up! demo's and various workshops I have been hosting over the past several months, I have received many requests for this so, finally here are the details:

Saturday 17th July 2pm
Saturday 11the September 2pm

These are the first dates and depending on how busy things get will depend on when and where future dates will take place. Places are limited on the above three dates to 8 on each day, Please call me on 07779071588 for more details, they are in the Taunton area (Somerset). Everything needed to make four lovely projects will be supplied, along with light refreshments, all you need to bring is a smile and your enthusiasm for a fun crafting session. Hope to see a new face amongst us.

Hope you like the cute bags, thanks for looking, until next time happy crafting Dawn x
