Pretty delicate!
Hi, today for something a little different, I enjoy many styles of crafting, bright colours in my card making and delicate designs in my interest of jewellery, I don't wear very much jewellery but, what I do is quite simple. Here is a necklace I made a few weeks ago, I became a member of my local bead shop and enjoyed a fab evening watching demo's and trying out macrame. After speaking to a lovely lady, who was a customer, and admiring her necklace, she explained how she made it and even helped me find the right size beads for the job, as you can see I chose a turquoise mix and added silver to the combination. This is my first attempt at this kind of jewellery making and I must admit I am really pleased with the outcome. I have put on two photo's, the first to show the whole necklace and the second to show closer in more detail. This necklace can be made to sit quite "tight" around the neck but I chose to make it slightly longer as I really don't like things around my neck/throat. I hope you like it. Until next time, Happy crafting whatever your style, Dawn x

Apron cards
Hi everyone, the sun is shining on us both outside and from our crafting rooms. Thank you everyone for another lovely Stampin' Up! workshop last night, a new face in the group, hello and welcome to Diane I hope you enjoyed your crafting time with us.
Well, last night we made apron cards as you can see in these pictures, a variety of colours and styles were chosen using the same products (I love it when you have lots of different looks with the same products, it gives me inspiration). They are all based on the same card blank shape, A6 with the tops trimmed into shape. A selection of stamps were offered to fit in with everyone's taste, Love you much, Crazy for cupcakes, Vintage vogue, Solid stripes or Tart & tangy. We used the large tag punch, scallop circle punch, eyelet border punch and pricking tool and mat to decorate. Ribbon was added for the apron strings. A selection of gorgeous cards, Thank you ladies. Until next time, happy crafting Dawn x

Pretty in pink
Hi, here is one of the cute boxes I have made using the sizzix bigz xl die and pretty in pink su card, I attached a whisper white band around the middle and then melon mambo spotty ribbon. I added a rose red scallop circle punch and three branches cut using the two step bird punch in certainly celery and three whisper white roses, inked with rose red, I made the roses from a die called Steve's swirly rose. Finally I added silver metal gems. I am really enjoying making these boxes and have lots of ideas as to what I can put in them as gifts, as they are a descent size. My son and I had our first attempt at handmade soap on the weekend and we are pleased with the outcome, hopefully a photo will soon follow, they fit nicely into these boxes, so a completely handmade gift. I hope you like the box. Thanks for looking, until next time, bye, Dawn x

Boxes, I love boxes!
Here are the pictures of the boxes as promised, from Wednesday evening. I did try to upload all four pictures earlier but, no it didn't work for me so hence two posts. I have a couple more of these cute boxes that I have made in different colours and decorated differently so, I will put those pictures on soon. Take care, bye Dawn x
Craftin' with felt
Thank you ladies for a lovely evening on Wednesday, firstly it was great to have a new face with us, I hope you enjoyed yourself Claire.
We were having fun crafting with Stampin' Up! stitched felt and other craft products. We made a cute little box, using a sizzix box die and decorated it with SU sweet pea designer series paper and felt, with the option of stamping the box base with stamps from SU baroque motif stamp set.
We then made a cute matching card using the adorable magnolia stamps, gorjuss girls stamps, SU butterfly or baroque motif stamps, the main image was stamped onto whisper white card cut from octagon nestabilities and layered onto coordinating card, we used pink passion and close to cocoa card from SU.
Here are pictures of the cards, the boxes will follow. Dawn x

Red hot!
Hi, its been a lovely sunny day here today and I spent it with a great friend, her daughter and my son, we went to a local event raising money for a fantastic cause "help for the hero's" we took along some cards we made as our donation to the cause to be sold on a stall and spent a few hours browsing the stands while the children had fun eating ice cream, bouncing, sliding and generally being busy and of course the weather made the whole day perfect! We had a long chat with the owners of "Craftasmic" a craft shop in Taunton, they gave us a lot of time answering our crafty questions about products etc, so Thank you James and Julie your time and energy is very much appreciated. Well with it being such a sunny day it felt right to put a red themed card on here today. This is another simple card (I like the simple ones best as you can probably tell by now) I used my fav square shaped base with a red, then black mat and then my red and black stamped flowers, using the two step greenhouse garden stamp set, onto a white square wrapped with black gingham ribbon, I added dazzling diamond glitter to the centre of some of the flowers although it doesn't show up in the picture. I hope you like it, until next time Bye and thanks for looking Dawn x

Friends birthday
Hi, we have been having computer problems (I have them them all the time but that's just me) this time it wasn't just me, it was slowly giving up and before it died we opted to replace and save everything on it, hence its been a while since I chatted. The other day was a friend of mines birthday and this was the card I made for her, a simple card using one of my favourite stamps at the moment, a gorjuss girl stamp and stampin' up! card of course! I hope you like it, until next time Dawn x
